MUCHA is a crew of friends of diverse genders, multi-cultural backgrounds, and perspectives, which has been organizing electronic multi-genre events since 2020. In these events, we not only emphasize awareness but also independently contribute our technical know-how.
Our goal is to create a space where music, respect, and diversity are celebrated. We are committed to ensuring that people of various identities and ways of life have access to the electronic music community and can expand their musical horizons within the safest possible network.
Our Mission
Origins
MUCHA, derived from Spanish, means “going beyond the ordinary, regular, or precise,” translating to “numerous” and embodies our pursuit of diverse sounds and inclusive community building. Since the founding of our crew in 2020 under the motto “Don’t take yourself too serious,” we have aimed to establish a multi-genre event format that combines the qualities of a festival with the intimacy of a party. Our initial DIY approach has consistently gained support and defines the unique mentality of MUCHA.
Since relocating in 2023, we now operate in Cologne and Berlin, hosting events or collaborating on other projects.
As a multi-genre format, we are open to all DJ levels and inclusive of all genders – from newcomers to experienced artists. Our diversity is reflected in the MUCHA Multi-Genre Mixtape Series, which is continually updated with new sets from our artists. Feel free to have a listen.
